If you watch the Food Network then you know about the popular show Worst Cooks in America, but now there's a new twist as the show adds dating to the mix. It's the Worst Cooks in America: Love at First Bite. And best of all there's a woman from Arkansas that will be competing on the show.
Be on the lookout for Allegra Melton from Jonesboro as she along with 15 other amateur chefs will go through a culinary boot camp and compete for the chance to win $25,000 and as a bonus maybe even find love.
We talked with Allegra and she said after being on the show she's a great cook, but before the show not so much. Allegra had a TikTok video go viral and that is when she was contacted by the Food Network to be on this show.
She said, that dating, trying to find love and learning how to cook was definitely a balancing act. It's especially hard when the show is showcasing the two things she's not good at cooking and dating.

Allegra admits that she had some kitchen mishaps in the past including a fire where firefighters had to be called and giving an old boyfriend food poisoning.
In the eight-episode series, the contestants will learn how to make some 'date-friendly' foods like sushi, French pastries and more from chef hosts Anne Burrell and Jeff Mauro. The hosts will each lead a team through the culinary boot camp. The contestants will also compete in dating-inspired challenges like Cupid Games, Bagel-orette and The Inferno Zone.
The show premieres on Sunday, August 6 with a 90-minute episode starting at 7 PM. Let's all cheer Allegra on through the cooking and the dating competitions! Go, Allegra!!
