A country pub has sent customers wild after showing off its new special - a pizza crammed with a traditional chippy tea on top. The pizza features not only deep fried fish and chips, but a classic combo of mushy peas and with a curry sauce base to it all too.
The eye-popping pizza has got people talking on The Devonshire Arms' Facebook page after head chef Marco Caires showed off his chippy-pizza hybrid. It was due to be the daily special just on Thursday and Friday at the acclaimed pub, in the village of Middle Handley in Derbyshire.
But after the reaction to the post, the family-run pub say they will now be serving it up on Saturday too. The pizza comes in at a hefty £16 price tag - but does look like a rather giant portion from the pictures shared.

The pub shared a picture of the vast creation on Wednesday. It features large chunks of fried fish, slatherings of mushy pea, a range of chips and even little wedges of lemon.
Instead of the traditional pizza topping of tomato sauce, the special had chippy classic curry sauce instead, and even a few blobs of tartare sauce too.
The pub wrote: "One of Tomorrow's Specials - The Fish & Chip Pizza."
It revealed exactly what was on the pizza as "Curry Sauce Base, Haddock & Scraps, Mushy Peas, Tartare Sauce, Double Cooked Chips." The picture left hundreds of punters salivating, and the post swiftly racked up the likes and shares.
Chris Sharpe said: "I'm captivated with intrigue." While Carl Cousins wrote: "Oh my days. I need this in my life. It looks stunning."
Although for some people, the mixture of sauces on the pizza proved controversial. Tracey Newberry said: "Looks great apart from curry sauce and tartare together."
While Louise Jordan wrote: "Everything but the mushy peas! Looks fabulous."
The pub's bosses said they've been amazed by the reaction to the post. They followed up with a message on Thursday to say: "Wow…..what a response!
"The Fish & Chip Pizza, Curry Sauce Base, Haddock & Scraps, Mushy Peas, Tartare Sauce, Double Cooked Chips will now be available until Saturday! We certainly don’t want anyone to miss out!"
They added: "And don’t worry, if you're not brave enough for this tasty creation we’ve got our usual Fish & Chips (served on a plate) and pizzas available."
The pub's restaurant, called The Stag, holds a prestigious AA rosette for its food, awarded for "culinary excellence". The pub restaurant is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner service.
The pub's location, nestled between Sheffield and Chesterfield, means the venue boasts splendid views over the surrounding countryside and hills.
